More often than not, that fraction of a second is the end of the story; but not always. If luck and skill are on my side the image will have potential for printing and displaying.
There is nothing new under the sun and photographic artists have been shaping their vision forever. I try to retain the integrity of the original subject and any enhancements are only to reflect what I believe I saw and the feelings they engendered.

Life is full of resolves like "I must use a tripod" or "I need to slow down and concentrate". The reality is, after 50 years of photography, I still get a buzz when I press the shutter and freeze that moment in time. It is still exhilarating.
